Baby Update!!

I had a doctor's appointment today!!! I got to listen to our little one's heartbeat again!! And we've scheduled the BIG ultrasound for 4 weeks from now!!! I can't wait!! :) The battery is still dead in the digital, and it takes some crazy specialty battery and I have to get Jim to hunt it down...so still no recent belly pics. No worries, I stil don't even have a baby bump yet. Maybe in the next few weeks. :)

Easter with Lizzie

I've been meaning to post these! Jim and Linda flew out to Nebraska this Easter to see Lizzie. They had a blast! I really wish I could've gotten off of work to go out there. :( Lizzie turned S-I-X this Saturday, can you believe it? These are my favorite pictures from the weekend, enjoy!

Little Shrimp

This is just too cool not to post up here. According to Babycenter in the 13th week---***How your baby's growing: Your belly may soon be big enough to announce to the world that you're expecting, but your baby is still tiny. In fact, she/he's only about 3 inches long crown to rump — roughly the size of a jumbo shrimp — and weighs just about an ounce. Despite the small proportions, there's a fully formed baby inside your womb now. Much more proportional than it was a few weeks ago, his/her head is now only about a third the size of his/her body. His/her tiny, unique fingerprints are already in place. His/her kidneys and urinary tract are functional, and he's starting to urinate out the amniotic fluid he's been swallowing. As you start your second trimester, most of your baby's critical development will be completed, and your odds of miscarriage will drop considerably.



So Awesome. It's a little human in there! :)

Doctor's Appt on Wednesday!

So I'm having my 13 week appointment on Wednesday. I hope they do another ultrasound. :) I'm also going to schedule my *BIG* Ultrasound for the end of May. I can't freaking wait! I'm crossing my fingers for a little girl, but I would love just as much to give Jim a son. I'm still not showing a belly or anything, but I had to retire my blue jeans this week. Can't zip those bad boys up anymore. :( That leaves me with very few comfort options and I absolutely refuse to become one of those people that wears their hubby's clothes and pajamas throughout the entire pregnancy. Otherwise I will turn into a fat, miserable blob. :) Okay, here are the belly pics that I promised.

Here's a terribly poor quality photo of me at 10 weeks. You can see a little activity in the waistline..That may not be all baby, it may be the italian food that gave me that pooch.:)

And, of course, the battery is dead on the digital, so I will post 13 week pics later tonight when Jim gets home.

2nd Trimester!!! Wahoo!!

Well, my days of what I like to call "2nd trimester envy" are over!! I watch the women on message boards hit their 12 weeks over and over again, while I was stuck back here--due the LAST week of October. Thank GOD that's over. :) Meanwhile, we had to board our cats for four days due to a random flea infestation. Gross. We had to call in the big guns and hire an exterminator. I sure did miss my babies while they were gone! We were so happy to have them home again with us last night. The place is just too quiet without them digging into everything! Here are some pictures of my little terrors. This is Bella, she may look cute and innocent, but she's an absolute MESS.

And then there's Mister Pickles..well, I guess it's just Pickles now that we got him fixed.

April 2007

We started this blog so that the out of town family can know what's going on in our lives, and what's going on with the little life inside me. :) As of today, I'm a few days shy of 12 weeks. WAHOOO!!! Almost a third of the pregnancy is OVER!!!!! Now can relax a little and enjoy food again. I'm going to post some prgressive pictures of the little tummy I've got growing. Not too noticeable. I've only gained two pounds, but I can definitely tell a difference.


What's been going on in our lives...Jim is still with Progressive and LOVING it. Which is great, because so many people are unhappy at their jobs. I'm still working as a Makeup Artist for MAC, and finishing up my degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science (I have one semester left, I think) We live in the Woodlands with our two cats Bella and Mr. Pickles. And soon to add Little Tillmans to the bunch around October 28, 2007.

Jim just went to Nebraska to visit Lizzie for Easter vacation. We really miss that little girl!! She's getting so big! She'll be SIX on the 21st of this month, can you believe it??? We haven't told her about our new addition yet because we think that it will be better to tell her when I'm really showing, that way it won't feel like such a long time for her! I really thought this would be the longest nine months of my life, but it really is zooming by so far.
